Aurelia (“Aurelia”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is a client application developed and published by CodeNest Duo. Aurelia is designed to connect to compatible Jellyfin servers and provide a user interface for browsing, streaming, downloading, and managing media from those servers.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Aurelia accesses, where that information is stored, and how information may be transmitted when you use the application.

1. Information Aurelia Accesses

Depending on the features you use, Aurelia may access or process information associated with your connected Jellyfin server and your use of the application, including:

• Jellyfin server addresses and connection information.
• Authentication tokens and account information required to connect to your server.
• User profiles and server-provided account information.
• Media library information, including titles, artists, albums, genres, descriptions, and other metadata.
• Playback information such as resume positions, watch progress, playback preferences, subtitle selections, and audio selections.
• Media artwork, images, subtitles, and other content provided by your Jellyfin server.
• Application preferences, settings, and configuration information.
• Downloaded media and other files that you explicitly choose to store for offline use.

This information is used to provide Aurelia’s media browsing, playback, downloading, synchronization, and related features.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

Aurelia stores certain information locally on your Android device to provide its features and improve application performance.

This may include:

• Server Connections — Jellyfin server addresses, authentication tokens, user profiles, and connection settings required to access your servers.
• Playback Information — Resume positions, watch progress, playback preferences, subtitle selections, audio selections, and other player-related information.
• Application Settings — Preferences such as themes, appearance, playback options, storage configuration, and other application settings.
• Cached Content — Artwork, images, metadata, subtitles, and temporary files used to improve performance and reduce network usage.
• Offline Downloads — Media files and related metadata that you explicitly choose to download for offline playback.

Information stored locally remains on your device unless you explicitly remove it, clear application data, or uninstall Aurelia.

3. Jellyfin Servers

Aurelia is a client for Jellyfin servers.

When you connect Aurelia to a Jellyfin server, your device communicates with that server to authenticate, browse your media library, stream or download content, synchronize playback information, retrieve metadata, and perform other actions requested through the application.

The developers of Aurelia do not operate the Jellyfin servers you connect to and do not receive or store information exchanged between your device and those servers.

Information processed by a Jellyfin server is governed by the server’s configuration, administrator, and applicable privacy practices.

4. Third-Party Services

Depending on the features you use and the configuration of your connected Jellyfin server, information may be communicated to third-party services.

• Jellyfin Servers — Used for authentication, media library access, playback synchronization, metadata retrieval, streaming, and downloads.
• Metadata & Artwork Providers — Your Jellyfin server may obtain metadata, artwork, images, and other media information from external providers configured by the server administrator.
• Other Connected Services — Certain Aurelia features may interact with external services required to provide functionality requested by you.

Aurelia does not control the privacy practices, availability, or data handling practices of third-party services.

Third-party services operate according to their own privacy policies and terms of service.

5. Developer Data Collection

Aurelia does not intentionally collect personal information for analytics, advertising, user profiling, or behavioral tracking by CodeNest Duo.

Aurelia does not include advertising networks, analytics SDKs, or developer-operated tracking services.

Information exchanged between your device and a Jellyfin server or another third-party service is not routinely transmitted to or stored by CodeNest Duo.

6. Application Permissions

Aurelia requests permissions that are necessary to provide its functionality. Depending on your Android version and the features you use, these may include:

• Network Access — Required to communicate with Jellyfin servers, stream media, download offline content, retrieve artwork, and access other online features.
• Media & Storage Access — Required where applicable for downloaded media, cached content, subtitles, backups, and other files stored on your device.
• Notifications — Used where supported for media playback, download progress, and other application notifications.

Permissions are used only for the functionality associated with the relevant feature and can be managed through Android system settings.

7. Data Sharing

CodeNest Duo does not sell your personal information.

Aurelia does not routinely transmit your personal information to CodeNest Duo.

Information may be transmitted to your connected Jellyfin server or other third-party services when necessary to provide a feature that you explicitly use.

For example, connecting to a Jellyfin server may transmit authentication information and account credentials to that server, while browsing or playing media may transmit requests and playback information to the connected server.

Any such information is subject to the privacy practices and terms applicable to the receiving service.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable measures in the design and development of Aurelia to avoid unnecessary collection and transmission of user information.

However, no electronic storage system, network connection, or method of transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Android device, Jellyfin account credentials, server configuration, downloaded media, and any backups or exported data.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

Information stored locally by Aurelia generally remains on your device until you delete it, clear the application’s data, remove the relevant content, or uninstall the application.

Information stored or processed by a connected Jellyfin server remains subject to the server’s own configuration and retention policies.

Information transmitted to third-party services is subject to the retention and deletion practices of those services.

10. Children’s Privacy

Aurelia is not specifically directed toward children.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for the purpose of creating accounts or user profiles.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information through Aurelia in a manner that should not have occurred, please contact us.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to Aurelia, its features, applicable requirements, or our data practices.

When changes are made, the updated version will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
